If you like performing, being part of a family, and desire to make lasting memories then the Pride of Sunrise Marching Band is the place for you! We perform at competitions, football games, pep assemblies, parades, and special events.

Color Guard:

Don’t play an instrument? We have an opportunity for all SMHS students to join the color guard team . Color guard is the visual representation of the bands musical performance. Members will learn the fundamental techniques to dance, spin flags, toss rifles, catch sabers and enhance the our visual presentation of our show during the marching season .

 

Staying Connected:

Interested in joining the Pride of Sunrise Marching Band email the Band Director Jacob Osorio (josorio@pusd11.net) and talk to your guidance counselor. Marching Band is offered in 1st period. Great way to start your school day!

· This resource will be used for instant communication to students and parents for any immediate actions needed to be done by the band.

· Example: “Hi Band, make sure you are ready to leave for the football game at 5:30pm.”

· The Band App will be used for group communication, weekly news updates, photos, and to build community between our band members, Bandwagon boosters, parents, staff, and school community.

– Search “Sunrise Mountain High School Bands”

– Ask to join and answer intro question.
